Carrot tryouts; who will make the next bunch? Just kidding, we love all of our carrots and we’ll be bringing them to the farmstand tomorrow along with lots of other frost kissed and crunchy, sweet gems. We know it’s a odd year but We’d love for you to have some local produce on your table this Thanksgiving (no matter where you’ll be or how different things may feel) to remind you of how lucky we are to have the Earth under our feet, providing us with such delicious & nutritious gifts. Lots to be Thankful for, always. Hope to see you tomorrow. And if you can’t make it, We’ll be open Earlier than normally this Wednesday, Noon to 6pm, for your last minute produce needs.

Here today, gone tomato. Make a sandwich, make sauce, make a salad or a salsa, but whatever you do don’t make the mistake of missing out on a deliciously ripe and flavorful haul of tomatoes! Or as @lilisbakedgoods calls them ‘the reason for the season’ Tropical storm Isaias put the smack down our tomato plants and the heavy rain this evening & forecast for Saturday won’t help them at all (though it will help most of our other crops like the newly seeded spinach and arugula that we are so ready for and the tender baby carrots that are growing in the field). We’ll be slinging our tamaters tamorrow from 3 to 7 at the farmstand and again Saturday morning from 9am to 1pm. We’ve got all kinds of other good stuff, too. It’s was a wet one but it sure beats the blazing sun! we spent the morning harvesting and the farmstand is stocked with the freshest most seasonal produce along with our own farm raised chicken, local Bluepoint oysters from @dunefishery & THE best, sustainably grown, locally roasted @acecoffeeco coffee. Garlic harvest 2020 is half done! 8000 bulbs harvested, cleaned, graded, and curing. It has been such a beautiful harvest we will have enough of our own saved seed to plant 2 more beds for 2021. Still looking for volunteers to help finish the next 8000 bulbs this week!
