IN MEMORIAM: Juilliard celebrates the life of longtime dance accompanist Reed Hansen, who died yesterday. The subject of faculty member Terese Capucilli’s 2017 documentary "The Sacrosanct Accompanist," Hansen began his Juilliard career in 1958, providing live music for thousands of Juilliard dance students through the years until his recent retirement. He also accompanied Martha Graham’s school and company classes for decades, and it was she who dubbed his skills sacrosanct.
