If you plan to visit, you are welcome to explore outside. Again, please note that our restrooms will be closed. Contributions to help support the Center during your visit may be made online at http://ny.audubon.org/give_trsac During this difficult time, nature can provide us with respite and soothing experiences.... We encourage you to spend time outdoors, and to be safe and healthy. Thank you for your dedication to Audubon and nature! 7:45 - 11 am. We will be birding the Sanctuary trails first, then heading to Sagamore Hill NHS just up the road for meadows and woodlands, then over to St. John’s pond in Cold Spring Harbor to spot some waterfowl. Each participant will receive a laminated bird guide to keep and learn how to use the Audubon bird ID app on your phone. Tour for ages 10+. $25 per person/ $40 max per car. Sanitized binoculars available for loan if needed. Email [email protected] to register or for more information. Space very limited. Masks and social distancing must be used when out of our cars.
Leave your leaves and brush. The birds love it! #leavetheleaves #birdfriendlycommunities #plantsforbirds @audubon_ny
"Like the rest of the world, we watched the events at the U.S. Capitol in horror as anti-democratic zealots violently disrupted what should have been a ceremonial start to the peaceful transition of power after a free and fair election. History and we will hold responsible the elected officials who have promoted the assault on our democracy." - David Yarnold, president and CEO of the National Audubon Society.

This year we did our best to keep connecting people with nature in creative ways, through native garden projects, virtual programs, teen and college groups, schoolyard bird walks, and much more. We will continue to protect birds and the places they need through conservation education, science, policy, and community engagement. We hope you can donate to support our work this year as we head into 2021. Thanks for your support! Link in bio: ny.audubon.org/give_trsac
