The Paradox Process 29.11.2020

WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE! Let’s make this holiday season a season of healing. These are extraordinary times, and maybe that means extraordinary opportunity. ... To declare a season of healing, of peace and of acceptance would give this season meaning and purpose. It would allow us to rise above petty commercialism and political and social differences and actually set a new tone. Forgive, accept, allow, embrace. If you can do this now you will change the world.

The holidays are here! By all accounts, it’s not going to be the celebrations that we are used to. No parades, no big gatherings, no travel. Our joy is being stripped down and stripped away. We are left without our traditions. Can we still find joy in the midst of this Spartan celebration? Like the pilgrims at the first Thanksgiving, we have only each other. The essence of what we are grateful for is still present. We have each other. We are alive. We have a future that is p...romising; we have vaccines and new possibilities. We are on the cusp of a choice: will we be unhappy about the restrictions in front of us, or will we be grateful for the possibilities of the future? The choice is ours! Join our class tonight! This week's topic: "Building Community: Challenges for Men." One of the negative results that come from men following the Male Code is that they have a much more difficult time creating relationships (and thus community) than women do. Creating meaningful relationships requires emotional connection. This week participants will explore the different circles of community, how to create more intimacy (non-sexual and non-romantic) with other men, and we will create a plan to bri...ng more meaningful friendships into their lives.
