Hello all. Hope that everyone is well. I feel like the time has come to make an official announcement concerning the immediate future of the bowl. After 39 seasons, the time has come for me to say "Thanks for the memories." At this point, with this continuing madness we're all living through, it's anyone's guess if we would even be allowed to resume in the fall, I have decided that until or unless someone decides to take over the reins, the bowl will be no more. While it sad...dens me greatly and it is very disappointing that it has to end in this way, for me, I feel the time is right to step down. 39 years, the last 20 of which I've worked a second full time job, I need to scale back and begin my "life after bowling." Mere words here can not express how truly grateful I am for all of our wonderful patrons, particularly our league bowlers that come out week after week, year after year, and in many cases decade after decade. I will miss you all. I've often said that the one good thing about being a small center is that the relationships formed and the camaraderie amongst us are unparalleled. We have officially pulled the plug on our league season for the Commercial League. We will be doing a payout based on 27 weeks of bowling. All monies will be returned via prize money, including 50/50 cash. Since, at this point, no one knows when we can gather again, there will be no banquet. When Barb & Leon get the prizes organized, I will post update & make arrangements to do payouts. THANKS TO ALL & TO ALL, BE SAFE !
