Today one of our crews worked through the blistering heat to complete yet another shoreline project.

Behind the scenes of the many functions we perform day to day, is one of the most crucial components to our business: Our mechanic, Bob Maitland. He began working with us in 1998, and is on his 23rd year of service with us. His loyalty, dedication, and work ethic is worth more than can be put into words. When it’s 20 below zero at 2:00 AM and a garbage truck is broke down, Bob answers the call. When it’s 90 degrees at 8:00 PM and a truck is broke down, Bob ensures it is ready... to run the next day, in order to keep our loyal customers satisfied. Bob is responsible for repairs and maintenance on 13 garbage trucks, 7 dump trucks, 5 trailers, 5 excavators, 2 bulldozers, 2 loaders, a skidsteer, a backhoe, 8 pickup trucks, and 8 snow plows. His experience in the field is remarkable as well, and he is capable of performing any task in the field with precision. He holds all of this responsibility on his shoulders with nothing other than tranquility and a sense of humor. We thank you for your hard work and dedication. Today we completed clean-up work for the Adams Car Wash! We put clay on the side slopes to help prevent wash-outs, and placed shot rock for drainage.

Today we welcomed another excavator to the fleet, a CAT 309! This will replace one of our equal sized Case excavators.

Over the past 24 hours, we have been responsible for an environmental emergency on State Route 178 in Adams. Several hundred tons of contaminated soil have been hauled out and replaced. We thank our employees for the late nights, loyalty and work ethic displayed day in and day out, 24/7.

For years, we have resurfaced Hy-Knoll Drive in Sackets Harbor for Herby Waite. Unfortunately, this year he was not around to see it happen. His humor and uplifting personality will certainly be missed by all fortunate enough to know him. We also thank his family for continued business. Until we meet again Herby.

Today we moved over 140 loads of clay to change the course of the race track at Can-Am Speedway!

Today we used our Rockhound to complete a final grade and aeration of topsoil in Ellisburg.

Today, we finished our eighth shoreline job within a mile in Sackets Harbor! Several hundred tons of product went into this job.
