Yesterday was the 4th class in the Principles of Drawing course taught by Mitchell Price, who was trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, where he lived and taught for over six years. We've converted the Catherine C. Johnson gallery into a classroom while we take a short break from exhibitions and thanks to our great lighting, there is plenty of contrast on the still life for students to learn from!
Coming soon! But you must get registered by March 8 to guarantee your spot in class - and so we have time to get your materials!
We are proud to be participating in this year's #giveNNY campaign!
Our friends over at River Muse are enjoying the snow and the cold! We can't wait to see what they create.
Mitchell Hill Price trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, where he lived and taught for over six years. He will be sharing his knowledge with us in a six session class beginning on the evening of February 16 and running every Tuesday and Thursday through March 4 from 5 - 7pm each night. If you've ever had an interest in realistically drawing or painting objects from life, this class will give you the tools you need. Join us. https://www.tiartscenter.org/Calendar/calendar.php
Come work with us! We're looking for a seasonal Office Assistant to help us out this summer. Take a look at our website for more information!
Happy Holidays from TIAC!
If you see this lady today, wish her a happy birthday!
With no Clayton Christmas Parade this year, Light Up The Town was a great alternative and the Arts Center was happy to participate. Just take a look at all the great light displays!
"Every job created in the powerloom sector, which floods the market with cheap imitations of handloom weaves, displaces 14 traditional weavers." Three cheers for the weavers out there on their traditional looms keeping the craft alive!
We're going on break! Today is the last day the Arts Center will be open until we come back January 4 (it's also your last chance to stop by our Holiday Market before Christmas ). See you all next year!

Just a few quick things to share today
Congratulations to Pat Ledoux, TIAC Volunteer of the Year! Pat's help at our store, Finders Keepers, was invaluable this summer. She jumped right in and took action - from restocking and pricing, to helping customers, cleaning, and accepting donations. She's an amazing volunteer filled with dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Yay, Pat
