Time to start collecting your winter badges. You even get credit when there isn’t any snow. Two badges have been moved for your safety. Crowfield is at the lean-to and Whistlewood is at the lower trail before it goes up the hill.

Several Trail Works trails in the northeast of the county are on state lands maintained by the DEC, and hunting is allowed on these properties. These trails include Chimney Bluffs, Turtle Pond, Whistlewood, and Third Creek. Please be mindful of hunters on these lands, and see the link below for advice on how to safely share the trails during hunting season.

Don't forget about our Fall Foliage Hike with SOAR! For those going on the hike Saturday at 10:00, the hike will start at the High Street kiosk and mural. That's really where the story begins and flows on to a stop at Lock 62 and then the Richmond. From there Mike usually extends an invitation to go on from there to the paper mill and the Cayuga-Seneca Canal Lock 11 if they want to go on. Hope to see you there!

Nice turnout today for the post and beam planning meeting for the accessibility sunset pavilion. We had plenty of tape measures to keep our distance.

Our friend Calvin needs help cleaning up Multiflora Rose at Beechwood State Park! Please consider taking a shift and helping him out. Multiflora rose is an invasive plant that grows into large bushes that choke out native plants in the area. Removing the multiflora rose will promote the growth of native plants in the area.
