Today was dress it up Monday! We tried to shake the Monday blues by dressing to impress; take a look at our Pineapple Class who embraced this Monday and dressed up!
Today we had celebrated Easter at Tutor Time Lindenhurst, we had our annual Easter egg hunt throughout the school and we even had some of our infant classrooms dress up as Easter baby bunnies!!! We hope EVERYONE has a great holiday and a nice weekend!
Sink or Float experiments continue, our Cantaloupe classroom explored different objects and made predictions about which objects would sink and which ones would float!
Today was Sink or Float Day! We preformed experiments with water to test weather different objects would sink or float! We had so much fun testing out which items are light enough to float and heavy enough to sink.

Today was World water day! Our Grape classroom had tons of fun exploring water in their classroom. Miss Deirdre had the infants explore dark blue and light blue water. Pretending the dark and cold water was the arctic and the light aqua, warm water was the Caribbean! So Creative!

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Saint Patrick's Day!! We enjoyed seeing everyone's green attire, and we hope you all enjoyed the classroom parties! Some of our classrooms even had a surprise visit from a leprechaun, who caused some mischief in their rooms!

Yesterday was Incredible Kid's Day at Tutor Time Lindenhurst! We asked all parents to write letters to their children so they could share it with their friends during circle time. It was a HUGE success, each child LOVED sharing their special note from their families, thank you for all who participated!

Today our Pineapple Classroom "taste tested" the rainbow goldfish and voted on our favorite "flavor". We made a graph with this information.
All month long we will be reading Dr. Seuss books, in honor of his birthday last week! Today we will be reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss. We will also practice making patterns using multicolored goldfish!

Today was Cyclone Day, we used clear water bottles, dish soap, aluminum foil, and water to create a cyclone in a bottle! Our youngest friends in the Grape classroom really enjoyed making a cyclone/tornado bottle and shaking it around to see what would happen!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Today we created silly hats in honor of his birthday and enjoyed reading some of Dr. Seuss' classic stories during morning and afternoon circle time.
Our Young Learner classrooms got creative during a birthday board contest! Every class did an OUTSTANDING job, and it was very hard to pick a winner! There were several boards that stood out in creativity, however the winner of the contest was....Oranges! Bananas was a very close second!! Great job ladies, you all made it very hard to pick a winner!

Today was Pajama Wama Friday! Today we had an all day slumber party! We enjoyed wearing our coziest pajamas and reading books from home during story time! Thank you to all our Staff for another great Awesome Kids Week, this week was a huge success because of all you do for the kids in our care! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!
Today was Thrilling Thursday; another great success of Awesome Kids Week! Today we had so much wearing capes, superhero shirts, and our trusty utility belts! Our Plum and Apple classrooms took it a step further and incorporated superhero crafts into their day!

Today was Team Spirit Tuesday! Another great day of Awesome Kids Week! Today we wore our favorite sports team jerseys and had fun playing different sports in the classroom.
Awesome Kids week is Back! All week long we will hosting fun events throughout the building to remind others of how much fun we have caring for the wonderful children in our lives! Today was Masterpiece Monday and had fun creating different works of art in the art center! Tomorrow is Team Spirit Tuesday and we are encouraging all students and staff to wear their favorite team jerseys! Check back all week long to see the fun activities and events we will be hosting!!

Our Young Learner Classrooms had a Family Board contest this past week to see who could make the most creative family board display. Each classroom has a family Board where you can find the monthly menu and calendar, weekly lesson plans, primary care group chart, and any classroom or center information you may need to know! It's a great resource for parent's to see what their child will be doing all week! Everyone did an AMAZING JOB creating their display and it was very difficult to choose just one! At this time we would like to congratulate Miss Mallory and Miss Cris in the Blueberry classroom for winning the Family Board Contest! Great Job Everyone xoxo Kim

Last night we held our annual candlelight Dinner in our twos, preschool, and Pre K classrooms, and it was a huge success! All the teachers did a great job making decorations and preparing gifts for the parents! We hope everyone had a great time, we loved being able to spread the love with all of you. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Today we celebrated Mardi Gras at Tutor Time Lindenhurst! We all made child made masks and had a parade around the school as we listened to Louisianian inspired music.

Today Miss Julianne went from classroom to classroom assisting us in a cooking lesson. Today we made rice crispy treats with our friends and had so much fun measuring and pouring the ingredients to make our special treat!
Today our Pre-K Classrooms went on a fun field trip to Imagination Play where they explored their imaginations and enhanced their social emotional skills through pretend play!

Happy Groundhog Day! Look's like we will see an early spring! Today we had fun making predictions on whether the groundhog would see his shadow or not. Our infant Grape classroom created their own groundhogs using small paper plates, paint, and their hands! Great job Grapes!!!
