The Lewis Burke Frumkes Center for Writing and Culture 01.07.2021

The Frumkes Center welcomed our 2019-2020 Writer-in-Residence Colin Harrison on November 14, 2019. He spoke about his life and work as part of our Fall 2019 Best-Selling Author series. Current vice president and editor-in-chief at Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Mr. Harrison is also a critically acclaimed crime and thriller novelist. He has written eight novels, including best-selling You Belong to Me, The Havana Room and the international bestseller, Manhattan Nocturne. Four of his novels were selected as Notable Books by the New York Times Book Review. The Frumkes Center for Writing and Culture welcomed author Dara Horn on Monday, November 4th, 2019. She gave the Jack Burstyn Memorial Lecture as part of our Fall 2019 Best-Selling Author Series. Horn's nonfiction book, The Rescuer, was a best seller, and her beautifully-written novels weave sweeping family dramas mixed with magical fables, multi-generational tales and sagas of family history. In the Image received the 2003 National Jewish Book Award.
