****You honored our Mount Pleasant Heoroes**** We are thrilled to share with you what we have been able to do for the heroic Essential and Frontline workers both living and working in or with some connection to our great community of Mount Pleasant.... Since our inception almost 8 weeks ago, we have been able to purchase over 400 gratitude bracelets for our Mount Pleasant Heroes! And 50 more being prepared as we speak! The overwhelming response continues as we have been asked to deliver and ship beyond our borders....to directors and staff of Senior living facilities, exercise therapists, drivers and delivery servers, dog groomers and vetinarians, hospital janitorial staff, lunch and food bank providers and servers, to name a few. The essential workers that help our families and friends that aren’t our obvious heoroes, but just as important. Please continue to support us to honor them as well as our doctors, nurses, EMT, fire and police officers, and teachers and educators who all continue to protect us and our children with their unwavering and remarkable dedication to their jobs. It’s a very difficult time to take on their roles right now. Their jobs’ rules have shifted and daily work is challenging and ever more complicated. All amazing individuals who are going above and beyond with their selfless actions and extra kindness to keep us feeling sound and secure. We have succeeded in reaching our second goal of $10000.00, and moving beyond! Since our start a month ago, we have been able to purchase over 350 gratitude bracelets for our Mount Pleasant Heroes and have gotten an overwhelming response to go beyond our town’s borders. ... With your support, we have shown our gratitude for the Frontline workers- our doctors- nurses- EMT and volunteer firefighters and police officers! All amazingly brave individuals that keep us safe, healthy and protected. We have also honored our essential workers of our grocery and hardware stores, our UPS and Fedex workers, teachers, postal employees, restauranteers, Con-Ed and MTA transit workers....all responsible for keeping us moving, stocked up and fed, warm and keeping our children learning and connected! We were asked to honor the frontline healthcare workers of an entire hospital in Tennessee and well as doctors and nurses working in Pennsylvania, Texas and New Mexico! ***NOMINATE YOUR HEROES*** Mount Pleasant Heroes The past 30 days have changed our world as we know it. We have experienced tragedy, loss and sadness that we never imagined. Our role as Mount Pleasant residents has been to stay home and wait. The professionals who are saving us - saving the lives of people who we love are our nurses, doctors and EMT’s. We have always held them all in high regard but this pandemic, this war that we are fighting has elevated them to heroes ...in all our hearts. They leave their families each day and risk being infected by a highly contagious virus just to help save strangers lives. It is above and beyond the oath that they took when they entered the medical profession. They need us,to help them get through this difficult time. We are asking you to make a donation to help us purchase a gratitude bracelet that will remind them that while they are selflessly putting their own lives on the line, we appreciate their efforts beyond what words can express. We know that many of you have financial hardships caused by this but if you are able to donate even the smallest amount, it will help.
