Today we commemorate Juneteenth in solidarity with the Black community marking the emancipation of slaves after the end of the civil war. The holiday's traditions are rooted in togetherness, music, and outdoor gatherings centered around food. We at Union Market are committed to educating ourselves about the organizations that promote food sovereignty and elevate the platforms of Black voices in farming and food justice initiatives. Whether it be celebrating with strawberry soda-pop or having a traditional barbecue, we hope that everyone leaves their Jubilee celebrations happy, full, and most importantly, hopeful for a more just future.

Introducing a delicious, limited-edition flavor from our friends over at @JenisIceCreams. Summer is just around the corner, and pandemic restrictions are lifting, which means wedding season is here again. Wedding Cake is a perfect combination of rich buttercream ice cream, tart swirls of lemon and blueberry, and spongey bits of vanilla cake speckled throughout each pint.
