Thank you to all of our 386 Workforce Heroes and guests who joined us for today’s Virtual Salute & Recognition Ceremony! Long Island has been put to the test over the last 15 months, and through it all, your efforts have made a profound impact in our community. Thanks to your generosity, today’s Virtual Salute raised funds that will go a long way in helping Long Island families affected by the pandemic including Lily a retired NYPD officer and her husband Winston, a U.S. Arm...y Veteran. We also observed a moment of silence to remember lives lost to COVID-19. United Way's President and CEO, Theresa Regnante was joined by United Way Board Member and Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW President John Durso, as well as lead sponsor Clare Rose, Inc., and the company’s President, Sean Rose. We are grateful to all of our event sponsors: Long Island FQHC, Inc., Ridgewood Savings Bank, STAR Group, Choice For All, Hispanic Brotherhood, Inc., Gurwin Family of Healthcare Services, Local 282 Teamsters, Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW, Martinelli's, National Grid, PSEG Long Island, Suffolk County Community College and Woodward Children's Center.
