We Present Our December "Employee of the month" and our last for this year 2020, "Alexandra Cobo", Licensed Practical Nurse. Better known as Cobo has been working at University Center for the last 10 years. Residents and staff alike love Cobo and if there’s one thing we known she is a team player and if there’s anyone new in the field she is more than gladly to train, assist and show them the ropes. Her dedication to University has never been overlooked she is the definition of a true asset to University Center.

We are so honored to announce our November Employee of the month Constancia Sterling. She has been at University for about 3 years an holds the position of Secretary. Constancia is better known as "Connie" she is sweet, compassionate and hands on when needed. Residents and staff alike love "Connie" a day without her in University is not the same. Our residents and staff alike had so much fun on Friday afternoon with pizza and treats while parading the halls with music. And after our staff enjoyed fun games such as Halloween Bingo, karaoke contest, food and prizes. On October 28th, Centers Health Care held a recreation summit at its headquarters in the Bronx. Recreation Directors from facilities throughout the continuum were in attendance. Practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings, the team learned about new policies, listened to guest speakers, and enjoyed activities such as meditation and painting. #CentersHealthCare #Recreation #StrongerTogether

Today our residents had an inspiring and emotional hour. Topic of their past life and present. We live in an era where we forget where we came from, goals not accomplish, living with resentment and today our residents let them selves free and express it. I wrote it and they said it. Yesterday staff and residents alike came together and took advantage of some delicious sweets and pastries while making small to large donations. We were able to collect an amount of $173 dollars which were donated today directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Thank You all staff and residents who contributed to a great cause and bring awareness to all during this time.
