Here is a perfect example of how funny the Universe can be, if you watch and listen. This morning I posted this picture that said, Bang head here! It was just a rough morning, and you know those days... Well, while in the office seeing clients, I looked down at my unicorn that I always have sitting on my desk and noticed that he, too, was banging his head! There are no coincidences... This was most definitely a humorous acknowledgement from something greater than me! A shout out to the Universe for sending me this message!

So sometimes I can be a bit of a smartass... I wore this sock to my orthopedic appt today and left like this... I guess my foot is truly off duty for three weeks! Don’t worry... I’m still massaging. It’s a walking cast, and I’m gonna make it work while I can!

I’ve had my sleep apnea machine for almost one week. Last night was my highest score. My sleep study showed that I stopped breathing 28 times per hour on average. At one point, I didn’t breathe for a total of 1 minute and 28 seconds. These results were terrifying to me. I always thought that I might have sleep apnea, but I just ignored it because, let’s face it, who wants to wear a mask to bed? I’m still working through adjusting to having this on at night, but so far I do feel more rested and hoping that it really helps reduce my a-fib episodes. Thank you to all of my amazing clients for your outpouring of support and patience. I know last minute cancellations and rescheduling is not convenient. I appreciate your kindness and compassion as I see my way through these health hiccups.

Hosted a small pre-birthday dinner for my daughter tonight. She turns 25 tomorrow. What better way to celebrate another year than with a burning ceremony, plus I got to use my new-to-me vintage cauldron, which is pretty kick-ass!

This photo that I took in Mount Hope Cemetery today reminds me of a poem... Be like a tree. Stay grounded. Connect with your roots.... Turn over a new leaf. Bend before you break. Enjoy your natural beauty. Keep growing. Grow strong without notice. Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky. Be still long enough to hear your own rustling. This tombstone,which existed before this tree was planted or became this large, has now become embedded into the trunk, and the tree, unfazed by the object, continues ok to grow and expand.

I’ve had a few of these swabs since the pandemic... a few self-swabs and some in the hospital. Yesterday I had to have one done for a procedure that I’m having done Tuesday. I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH PAIN! I saw stars and I’ve only seen stars 3 times in my life, one of which was when I broke my patella two years ago. This was the worse swab experience I’ve ever had! First off, it was 10 seconds (only needs to be 5 seconds) and when she was done, she said, I’m sorry about that. I could feel I hit resistance the entire time. Ummm... ever heard of STOP? I’ve told people so many times that this test is not that bad at all, but either I lied or this girl did not do it correctly because my nose is still killing the next day! Good news....
