Happy Adoptober! It's #SubaruLovesPets month and Kitty Van Bortel loves pets too! We're proud to support Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester and our furry friends like Max, waiting to be adopted!

October is now Adoptober! It's #SubaruLovesPets month and we're teaming up with our animal-loving partners Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester and Operation Freedom Ride, inc. to help every loving animal find a loving home. As part of our #SubaruLovePromise, Van Bortel Subaru will donate $100 per day for every pet adopted in October, up to $3,100 per shelter.* All month long, we're celebrating the beauty and importance of adopting shelter pets while... helping adoptable pets find their forever homes. We're also collecting new pet supplies to donate and inviting the community to drop off items at both Van Bortel Subaru locations. Boston is a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy and a passion for golf. Despite five surgeries, including neurosurgery to help with spasticity and hip surgery that resulted in a full body cast for six weeks, Boston cannot stand or walk. However, that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his passion to play golf. Boston’s family of four generations of golfers has helped Boston around the course over the years, but it has become arduous as Boston has grown. After searching for a so...lution, his family found the Stand Up And Play Foundation and the paramobile, a device that enables those with physical mobility limitations to stand up and do activities including golf. The family announced a fundraising golf event to help Boston get a paramobile and further his pursuit to play the lifelong game of golf. In 2020, the Boston Tee Party took place, a golf tournament and fundraiser for 10 year old Boston. At Van Bortel Subaru, we wanted to help make a difference.
