many rooms... In John 14:1-14 Jesus speaks about the kingdom and how our Father in heaven has a place for everyone. " In my house are many rooms and I go to prepare a place for you". Jesus also goes on to say that when all is prepared he will return and take us to that place. As we continue to shelter in place Im sure we all long to have a room to ourself. A place we can find comfort and peace. I often think about those who live in a small apartment or perhaps a crowded home with children underfoot. We all need our own space and more so even now. Jesus promises there is a place waiting for us, but as we live we can also have the confidence that we can lean on our faith to get us through the rough times. He is with us always and he keeps his promises to us. God Bless Pastor Barb

As we all look forward to returning to worship I found another great picture about " Telling the Story" We all have a story to tell about what this experience has brought to our lives. Some stories are sad and others are funny. Some tell us about how resilient we have all become. God is in the midst of our story. God is guiding us through this, supporting us and offering hope for a better tomorrow.

After the resurrection, Jesus met with his disciples and had a private conversation with Peter where he asked him three times if he loved him. Remembering back when Peter denied Christ in the courtyard he is now asked to be sure of the commitment that Christ has put before him and that was to feed and care for the lords sheep. As modern day disciples we sometimes need to be reminded that we hold that same charge. We are called to reach out to our brothers and sisters and share the good news of Jesus Christ. In light of this pandemic we need to find new ways to reach out to those who may feel anxious, lost, or alone, and offer the Good News that Christ goes forever before them, making a path for wholeness.
