Viewer discretion advised: Seen yesterday just north of the GW Bridge. A 6' dead sturgeon in the Hudson River. DEC estimates a weight of 100 to 120 lbs. That would make it a juvenile specimen. Got likely killed by a fast boat's prop. ... Apparently they can grow up to 14'. And yes, they are alive in the Hudson. After 65 million years without much change, they rival sharks for being a time tested evolutionary classic.
