Vernon Center Fire Department

Saturday May 1st will be the annual chicken bbq. Dinners will be ready starting at 4pm till gone. Half chicken, baked potato, baked beans, roll and a brownie. $10 a dinner. ( This will be a drive thru event only)

Change of plan for this Saturday’s BBQ! Due to the popularity of this event, we wanted to keep the traffic under control. The drive thru we will be at Vernon Downs! 2 dinners per car! This is Vernon Downs rule for the free dinners. Only 500 dinners will be handed out so get there early. Starts at 3pm.

FREE Chicken BBQ! Vernon Downs is giving back to its community and have asked the Vernon Center Fire Department to help. June 27th @ 3pm Only 450-500 dinners will be made, first come first served. This will be a drive thru event only. Dinner includes Vernon Centers famous chicken bbq half, baked beans, baked potato and roll. Donations will be accepted and appreciated. NOTE: This BBQ is not to be confused with our regular chicken bbq fundraiser, due to the corona virus pandemic we were not able to hold our famous bbq in May. This event is being put on by Vernon Downs and held at Vernon Center Fire Department.
