Happy New Year! It was a tough one...but we made it through, and we look forward to a new year of happiness and, above all, health for all of us and our pets. Thank you to all of our clients for allowing us to care for your beloved animals; you were loyal to us, despite our closing and delays this year, and you really kept us going. We are privileged to be able to help you. A special thanks from Dr. Hess to her amazing staff who has gone above and beyond this year, covering f...or each other and working over time, as COVID exposures lead to quarantine and illness for several of us. We are now all healthy and ready for the new year. We are blessed to work with together with colleagues who support each other the way we have. It was a long and scary 3 weeks, but we're happy to report that our own Dr. Laurie Hess has recovered from COVID and is healthy and back at work. We're so glad to have her back that we awarded her a special glass. Welcome back Dr. Hess! #BeatingCOVID19

The Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics will be closed tomorrow, November 26th, for Thanksgiving. If you have a medical emergency while we are closed, please call us (914 864 1414) - you will be transferred to our emergency answering service. We will resume normal hours on Friday, November 27th, opening at 9am. We hope all of our clients and their pets have a wonderful Thanksgiving! #thanksgiving #veterinary #animals

Due to the anticipated winter storm, the Veterinary Center is planning on being closed tomorrow, December 17th. If your exotic pet has a medical emergency while we are closed, please call us at (914) 864-1414, and you will be transferred to our emergency answering service where one of our doctors will be on call all day for emergency phone consultations. We will post an update in the morning if plans change and the hospital is open. If not, we will resume normal hours on Friday, December 18th - 9am until 5pm. Stay safe and warm!

We're open again! After 2 precautionary weeks of closure due to a coronavirus exposure, we're happy to report that we're open for appointments starting tomorrow morning, Monday, November 9th. Fortunately, after the exposure, no one at the Veterinary Center tested positive, and everyone is anxious to get back to doing what we do best - caring for exotic pets! So if you need us, call us! We are alerting our clients that due to one of our employee’s family members having COVID, we have decided to take precautions and close the Center for 2 weeks. We are taking this precaution because all of the Veterinary Center employees work in such close contact, in our small office, and we take the safety and health or our staff, clients, and patients very seriously. For the next 2 weeks, beginning today, Monday October 28th, through on Wednesday November 12th, Doctors wil...l be seeing pets and their owners remotely, via telemedicine appointments during the Center’s usual business hours, that pet owners will be able to schedule themselves directly online. Directions for how to schedule an appointment will be available to pet owners if they call the Center’s regular number, (914) 864-1414. The Center’s veterinarians will be available for after-hours emergency phone calls, as usual, and sick pets needing medical care will be referred to the Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center, where they will be treated under our veterinarians’ guidance, as they usually are after business hours.
