A Message from Dr. Clarizio Ever since the HIV/AIDS scare of the 1990’s dental offices have put in place a very strict protocol called Universal Precautions to keep the public safe. This has worked extremely well and dental offices are considered very safe. The mindset of Universal Precautions is prevention. Enter Corona Virus. Fortunately this is a very easy virus to kill. Already existing protocols handle Corona in our dental treatment rooms. Yet new protocols are ...needed for public areas. Disinfected areas will now include doorknobs, stair rails, counter tops, phones, desktops, table, chairs and other common surfaces. As an added precaution I will be sanitizing the office with ozone gas. Ozone is a highly effective corona killer. Additionally we will be taking temperature readings before your visit. Anyone coughing, sneezing or ill will be asked to reschedule. We live in nation of 324 million people. As of March 15th, 3000 plus have Corona. The odds are very much in your favor if you follow these guidelines: 1. Wash or sanitize your hands frequently. 2. Avoid hand to face touching because your eyes, nose and mouth are transmission points. 3. Stay away from ill people. 4. Isolate yourself if you become sick. 5. Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing and then wash your hands. 6. Avoid handshaking for now. 7. Eat healthy meals, avoid sugar and junk food, get a good night’s sleep and avoid alcohol. In conclusion my office will be open and rest assured you are safe here. Sincerely, Vito G.
