As followers of Christ, we are called to pray for world leaders and still called to trust God - at all times, not just when the world is working the way we like.... . As the church, we are to participate in life with love at the forefront of our actions, and love thy neighbor no matter who they vote for. ___ Today is the finish line of a stressful tribulation, no matter your political views. Our volunteers are the greatest, and they put our kids first, even if they cannot be there in person. . Yesterday, Sally Self-Control sent the kids treats before she called them to show them how tough it is to control yourself when you want something you shouldn't have, and no one is telling you no. (Don't worry, they got to eat them soon after!) . "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your abili...ty, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13 ___ Thank a teacher today. They have all found creative and enthusiastic ways to connect with our children - no matter the classroom format - and they are one of God's greatest blessings in this season. See more

We need to take a moment and tell you about our Pastor. ___ Bob Claffey has gathered and cared for our small part of Jesus' global church for twenty-eight years. He, his wife, and his the children have given up so much so that our church family can be as close to God and his plan for us as possible. They have been a perfect picture of Christ's love and sacrifice on the cross, right in our own spiritual lives. ___... More than a Sunday Preacher, Pastor Bob is a certified counselor, a realtor to the community, and is deeply human like the rest of us, handling challenges daily that are difficult for even the strongest of people - and he still shows up for us, somehow, no matter what. ___ This year especially, through the pandemic, he hasn't missed a Sunday. He eagerly embraced online services the first week of lockdown, preaching to an empty room for fifteen weeks out of sheer Godly love for people and the desire to keep us connected. ___ October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and Bob Claffey, we'll never stop trying to make sure you know that we see you, we value you, and we're so much better in our walk with God because you are our Pastor. Obedience has a bad wrap. The world will tell you to "do your own thing" and "you don't have to do anything you don't want to." The Bible tells a different story, and it's not the bummer people make it out to be. ___ "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome." 1 John 5:3 .... "As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance," 1 Peter 1:14 ___ "Thank You Jesus, for showing me the ultimate picture of obedience and the glorious miracles it yields. Thank You for dying on the cross for me, even though You didn't want to. Holy Spirit, help me see through my earthly feelings and put aside the passions of my former ignorance. Instead, illuminate God's plan for my day, opening my eyes to opportunities for obedience, so I can see the kingdom of God here on Earth, in Jesus' name. Amen." See more
