Sun Jan 31 - Winter Cod Capt JR reports that the trip started a little slow on the Viking Starship, but as the sun came up we were able to get on a pretty good bite for an hour or so. There were some real nice big green COD in the mix. After the bite slowed down we bounced around a few rock piles and picked a few more with some ling in the mix. Today was definitely an improvement over our last couple trips. The pool winner was Ma Xu Bing from Long Island with a 20 lb Cod.

We started the day off with a very fast drift and good bite of mostly Porgies. The Porgies we landed were all medium to large in size. When we had enough at that spot we headed off shore a bit for the Sea Bass. There we had a really nice mix of Sea Bass and Porgies to end the day. A couple of guys had Triggerfish onboard today also. First place in today's pool went to Ronal Cruz of Pleasantville, NJ who landed a nice 3lb Porgy. Hugh Beason of the Bronx caught himself a 4lb Sea Bass to take the edible pool.

Sun Oct 25 -Block Island Cod/Seabass/Blackfish Capt Steven Jr reports another great day of fishing with quality sized fish on the Viking Fivestar. Things started off slow in the morning with tough conditions so we did a bit of looking around before getting our load of big Seabass and a couple nice Cod. From there went Blackfishing and had a slow but steady pick of fish with a couple in the 8-10 lb range. By the end of the day everyone went home with a nice load of fillets. By popular demand we are adding Block Island Cod/Seabass/Blackfish trip every Thursday thru the month of November!
