How fun is this custom breakfast nook? We made it for our clients in Jackson Heights.
We love the simplicity of this space. It turned out so nicely by using a few select pieces.
Share with someone you think would like this! We’ve been noticing the great design/build efforts of #nycrestaurants and can’t help but think how expensive it is to create a last minute outdoor dining space. We wanted to lend a hand by posting an easy & cheap alternative to the street barricade. This solution requires no carpentry, and the materials are easily obtained. Here’s what’s involved: Materials: Cinder Blocks - On Their Sides & Stacked x4 High ... 4x4 Pressure Treated Wood Posts - If posts aren’t available, you can use two pieces of 2x4 lumber stacked on top of one another. 1 - Gallon of Exterior Paint- this will be more than enough for most projects but get two if you have a large space. 1- Paint Brush or Roller Optional 2 - Tubes of Landscape Block Adhesive 1 - Caulking Gun How To: Make your cinder block columns by setting each block on its side and stacking them 4 high. Optional: For added safety, glue the blocks by using a small amount of landscape adhesive between each block. Only use a LITTLE bit of this product or you’ll never get them apart later! Create a column every 7’ around your space. Paint your cinder blocks! We love the color black but use whatever you like, a color from your logo, or something bright to attract attention. Feed the wood posts through each hole of your columns. This will give you a double wall of posts around the space. The middle columns connect two pieces of wood so only slide them in half way before starting with another board. Optional: glue down your middle pieces of wood to keep them in place. That’s it. You’re Done! Get Fancy: Add a hard surface to the top of your barricade for added table space or a place to perch decorations. #diy #outdoorseating #outdoordining
Modern Farmhouse W5D Style. @ Long Island, NY
The name Ward 5 was inspired by the location of our first house. It was located in the original 5th Ward of Long Island City which is now Astoria Queens. We were at the nyc archives today and got to check out a map!
Small kitchen big style. This light transitional kitchen in Queens got an upgrade with a gorgeous simple window covering.
Open shelves replace upper cabinets in this kitchen we designed for a client on Long Island.
White bathrooms can often look sterile and bland. We added flare to this one by picking a bright orange accent color. .. . . . .... . . . #bathroomsofinstagram #bathroomdesign #tiledesign #bathroomremodel #whiteinterior #apartmenttherapy #residentialdesign #renovationproject #longisland #coastalliving #scandistyle #instahome See more
We are no strangers to small spaces, so we’ll often save space in bedrooms by mounting lights above the bed. ... . . . .... . . . #interiordesigner #interiors #apartmenttherapy #bedroom #blue #instahome #suryaspaces #smallspaceliving See more

In a small space, dining tables often double as kitchen islands and work surfaces. That’s why we chose to place this one in between the kitchen and open living room. ... . . .... . . . . #Decor #interiordesigner #interiors #livingroom #apartmenttherapy #homedesign #residentialdesign #nycliving #customdesign #minimalist #japandi #scandistyle #neutrals #instahome #smallspaces See more
