Our summer intern Lydia Knickerbocker did an amazing job of educating landowners on ponds from start to finish and all the wonderful things that they bring to a home landscape. Emphasizing that while they may not be beautiful to use, they certainly are to the creatures that call a pond home!

Just a reminder that this Friday, September 14th our fish order forms are due to Washington County Soil and Water District office. Fish Pick-up and Distribution will be next Friday, September 21st, Time is TBD.

We are hopping into Fair Season!

As summer starts rolling to an end, the smell of Funnel cakes, fried oreos, and blooming Onion fills the air! August 20-August 26 is Washington County's New York's #1 Agricultural County Fair! Come for the rides, the horse show, animal exhibits, and all that great fair food, and be sure to stop into the County Bounty Building. ... Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District will have a booth with information about our 5-Tier Agricultural Environmental Managment (AEM) Program. County fair, County Fair Everybody in town will be there (County Fair- Bruce Springsteen)
