In 1692, the owners of the residential Sagtikos Manor chose this custom fence to frame their ambling grounds along Route 27A in Bay Shore. 328 years later, this style is still used. 20 years ago, Wayside was hired to put up what is now that white-stained fence in obvious disrepair. And here we are today, having just finished replicating this 500’ run of custom cedar gothic-top pickets, back-rails, beveled molding and bottom skirts. Our work needed to be historically identi...cal to what was erected over 3 centuries ago. We wonderdid George Washington give an appreciative nod to this classic beauty when he clippity-clopped through the gates when he spent the night here? We think, yes. He sure did.
