Hello Ladies & Gentlemen... I want to Thank Everyone that came and or impacted our 2020 Season (Reservations pushing to 2021). We were fortunate to survive and so far, so good, no one of my family's members have been stricken with Covid-19. I hope and pray the same is for You and your Families as well... We are winding down our Season to close on October 18th in everything except our two Condo Cottages, C3 & C4 which we are renting through the Winter, but without the Pool or ...other property amenities being open. So if any of You are looking to escape reality and maybe enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, President's Weekend, Easter Weekend or any other Weekends at the Lake, Chautauqua Lake, then please check out our Availabilities below. We are also purchasing 11 new 20 H.P. Honda outboard motors for our fleet of 11 x 16 ft. SV or SSV Lunds. That being said, we are selling the 10 x 2015 - 20 H.P. Honda Outboard long shaft motors on Craigslist or by word of mouth for $1,700. Sweet Honda Outboard Motors for a Sweet price. Yesterday around noon I got a call from a neighbor who was calling from Stow, NY to tell me that the ferry between Stow and Bemus Point, which had been on pilin...gs for repair of the hull was going to be picked up by a crane and placed back in Lake Chautauqua. They had someone with a drone who was going to film it, but he didn't show and she thought I might like to do it. So off to Stow we went. I haven't done much work with the video side of the drone, but here goes. Incidentally, although I had to hurry to get there, the process moved with glacial speed and this video is twice as fast as the actual procedure. I apologize for the jerkiness in places. I will get that worked out in future videos. Until the construction of the I-86 bridge across Chautauqua Lake, this was the only way to get from one side to the other. It is now run as a historical operation, but you can still cross the lake for a donation. I thought it was interesting to see how gently this massive crane with all those counterweights (at 10 Tons for each chunk) was able to pick up the ferry and set it down, all the while having the narrow path by the lighthouse controlled by men with ropes.
