So, we're trying something new with Sunday school... a bitmoji classroom! You'll still get the weekly video, but there will also be interactive activities and more content to reinforce the lessons. Each Saturday the classroom will change and a new classroom will be posted. When you open the link, click the "Present" button in the top right of the screen to open up to full screen. It looks better and is easier to navigate this way. In this week's classroom there are 9 clickable items. Some will move or spin first but they still click through to additional content. A good place to start is with the video by clicking the "laptop." I'm not sure how this will work across devices. It seems to work best on a computer or laptop, but isn't working on a smart phone.

Hey friends, WBUCC is doing an online auction to replace some of the fundraisers that we've had to cancel because of COVID-19. Check it out! Bidding starts September 1st. We have loads of cool stuff!! (Anyone is welcome to join in the bidding, but you'll be responsible for retrieving your winning items, so being local might be best.)

Unfortunately we cannot hold Barnfest this yearbut we still need to fund raise. So this year we’re holding a first-time ever online auction in September...whic...h means we need two things from you.... Donations & Bids! We'll be collecting donations in August. We need homemade foodstuffs, wine, handyman services, and antiques, etc. Can you help? Can you... Bake two pies? Bake 4 dozen cookies? Conjure up two lbs of fudge? Weed for two hours? Fix a drippy kitchen faucet? Paint a ceiling? Clean out rain gutters? Teach someone to watercolor? Donate a nice antique? Etc, etc, etc, etc. If YES let us know! We are excited to announce that we will be holding a special online auction this fall! Even though our building is closed to the public and we cannot physically... meet for the time being, we are still hard at work serving our community. The vital fundraisers that we rely on to close our budget cannot go on as planned this year (for example, our "Holy Crap" Sale and Wild Carrot Barnfest) so we're working around these difficulties to bring something new, fresh, and SAFE into our fundraising arena. Phase 1 of this project is to solicit goods, items or services to be auctioned off. If you can donate an antique, craft, fix-it service, floral display, nice bottle of wine, etc etc please let us know! You can use the attached form or email us. (All items up for bid will have a starting value of $25 so plan accordingly.) Phase 2 is to get people registered to bid. You can register to bid at the link below. It's like our own personal eBay! Items will be added as they become available, so check back often to see the awesome stuff that you can bid on. Phase 3 is when the fun begins! Bidding begins on September 1st! This supports community missions which have expanded this year. A cover letter, registration form and list of ideas were emailed out today and hard copies will be mailed out this week as well. On Sunday June 21st West Bloomfield Congregational Church will be holding a very special Father's Day Drive-in Service/ Chicken BBQ at the church! The service w...ill begin at 10 am. All traffic will enter from the 5&20 entrance and be guided as to where to park, and should try to be in place by 10am. Everyone is asked to remain in their cars at all times. (The church will not be accessible, even for bathroom use. We’re very sorry about this.) Tuning into AM 1200 will connect you to a wonderfully clear and powerful broadcast of the service (which will also be Facebook live-streamed, as usual). The radio transmission will only reach the immediate area surrounding the church campus. The service will end around 11:15, when all will be directed to exit by the County Road 37 exit, with two lanes of traffic...one for those picking up chicken dinners, the other for those simply leaving without chicken. *We have told the general public that the dinners will be available starting at 11:30 in the hopes that our parking lot will begin to clear out by that time, but you WILL be able to get your dinners when the service is over. SOME IMPORTANT NOTES!! We only have space for 40 cars so YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER. Follow this link to reserve a spot for your car for the service. The link uses language that makes it seem as if you are volunteering for something you aren’t. You’re just registering your spot for the service. With the precautions we’ll be taking because of COVID-19 we cannot honor these requests. This is an exciting event and we are so looking forward to being with you ON OUR CAMPUS.
