It’s been another great week at Whitcomb’s! Our kiln is now wired and up and running. This accomplishment officially completes our pottery studio. Now we jus...t need to conduct a test firing to confirm all is working correctly. Kierstin has been coming in to work in the studio most nights after I’ve closed the shop for the evening. It’s been fun to discover her evening presence each morning through signs of life and clay in the studio. I took some much needed time yesterday to clean and price the shop, and organize my own studio space. I’m in the thick of Valentine’s Day planning, which has proven to be a big jewelry holiday for me in past years. The state of my studio directly correlates to my level of productivity, so even though I didn’t actually make anything yesterday it was an important step in the process. Missing the community production of "A Christmas Carol" this year, our annual fundraiser for the food banks in Etown, Westport and Willsboro. This would be a good year for everyone to make a donation to those critical institutions. Photo is from the rehearsal in 2016.
