UPDATE: In less than 9 days I have produced over 1500 and shipped to CA AZ TX and NYC. Without the donations I this would not have been possible. Friends, I Need Your Help. With the rise of COVID-19 in all our communities, our health care workers and other essential workers are forced to wear protective masks on a full-time basis. These masks helps protect them and their co-workers, and families. The problem with masks is they were never intended for extensive wear time. As a result people are developing rashes, and wear burns from the straps on their ears. A few days ago, I saw a fellow Boy Scout from Canada using his 3D printer to make mask strap extensions that move the pressure the back of the head and not worker's ears. Seeing this, I got to work. I shifted my little 3D print farm from working on R&D designs and battery pack parts to having it run non-stop for these strap holders. After working out the kinks of the correct material, and automatic print programming I can print upwards of 240 a day. Yesterday I delivered more than 200 to our local hospital workers. In addition to the strap holders I am printing a variety of face shield holders that take a simple clear binder sheet cover and attaches to a hat or headband. I have delivered a few hundred of these as well. My little startup company Explorer Technology got its butt kicked out of the gate when shipments from China were held up. Shifting over to making these items for our community is eating up time, materials and resources. But, it is important to help our communities with the technology and abilities I have. What I need is some more resources to make these items. Here is where I need your help! I can make the items but need to keep feeding the machines with more filament and maintenance. We need some donations to make this happen. With any luck I can supply my entire community in a few weeks. I can also ship them to your locations for you to give out as well.
