Today, a group of us were at a small ceremony to award Tony Nelson his life membership medallion. Congratulations Big Tony on your many years of dedicated service to the WFC#1.!!.

Last night's fire in Pultneyville

Last night we were dispatched Automatic Mutual Aid into Pultneyville for a working barn fire. Truck 8 went en route shortly after initial dispatch with 5 personnel on board. Engine 12 also went en route to assist with water supply to the ladder truck, and M-62 assisted with road closure to keep everyone out of harms way. We requested for Marion Fire to stand by in our hall to make sure the town of Williamson had coverage for any further incidents. It was a great job by all who attended this long and difficult fire. Everyone went home safe and sound!

A short but sweet 100th birthday parade today for Past Chief Raymond Walvoord. Chief was one of many hats (helmets) Ray wore over the years in service to our community. Happy Birthday Ray!!! Thanks to Mike Anne for the video.

Today, a group of firefighters helped several fellow firefighters move to their new home. This is what the brotherhood (and sisterhood) is about. Not only helping others but helping each other. Congratulations Tony and Cindy in your new home. Enjoy!!

In Williamson, we are fortunate to have a trio of fire departments: East Williamson, Pultneyville and Williamson.
