Winchester Hill Farm

One of our favorite parts of fall - dark honey! We bottled over 59 pounds this weekend.

Fresh, whole chickens available today and tomorrow $2.75/lb. After tomorrow they will all be frozen.

Bees were busy today. Slow mode!

This little piggie - he’s the smallest of the bunch and loves to dig. I spent my night chasing him to get him out of the chicken coop. The pigs and chickens share most of their space, but we keep the pigs out of the actual coop because they tend to tip the feeders and waterers.

New addition to the farm.

Great pull this weekend from the hives. 71 lbs! Available if anyone is in need of some honey. $8 for 1 lb jar and $14 for 2 lb.

Today is chicken day. If you would like fresh, whole chickens, we have a limited supply available tonight. $2.75/lb.

Added two more nucs to the group tonight. As I was doing so I noticed a nearby swarm! After making a make shift hive we are up to nine. Who would have thought since I started the spring with one!

Productive weekend on the farm. Added 2 hives to the apiary as well as 6 pigs. Big cleaning weekend as well. Caught some bees and butterflies enjoying new fresh blooms.
