Aircraft run up produced no mag drop on the Left mag indicating the P-Lead was off. P-lead wire had been completely detached. Magnetos are always on unless they are grounded by the key which is attached to the mag by the P-lead wire. So for safety if the P-lead breaks the mag is always hot/on.
