MEMORIAL DAY BEACH UPDATE: We are ready to kick off our alternative summer this Saturday at our various beach facilities. Our Parks Department has been worki...ng around the clock to develop plans and get our facilities ready so our residents can enjoy our famous beaches while staying safe from COVID-19. Please take note of the following rules before you head to the shore this summer: - All beach facilities are RESIDENT ONLY. Entrance is reserved for vehicles whose DRIVER can present a valid license with a Town of Babylon address. The license CAN NOT belong to a passenger. (Please note that recreation stickers are not required, as they are not yet on sale) - Facilities will be capped at 50% capacity based on NYS guidance. - Face coverings are required when walking around the beach/facility; a face covering is not needed when in the water or sitting at your designated area on the beach. - Social distancing between groups on the beach is mandatory. Additional staff will be on-site to enforce this necessary measure. Please visit our website for a complete list of guidelines and other important information so you can properly plan your visit. By working together, we can all enjoy the beautiful summer weather without putting each other at risk. More here: https://www.townofbabylon.com//Summer-2020-Parks-Recreatio

BABYLON HEROES. Every Tuesday beginning at noon, Syed Hussain’s Shell gas station at Little East Neck Road and Straight Path in West Babylon is the site of the ...West Babylon /Wyandanch Community Outreach set up by Jeff Garrett, who owns The Crab Shack located at the same corner. The two have partnered with John Kramer owner of Jessen’s Delicatessen also in West Babylon to provide everything from milk and eggs, to fresh produce, juice, bagels, paper goods, cleaning products, gloves, water and more for those in need during this crisis. They receive donations but often come out of their own pockets to ensure there is no lack. They want to be able to do this as long as they can and hope to inspire other businesses to give back. If you'd like to contribute, food and essential item donations can be made directly onsite the morning of the outreach. Monetary donations can be made by reaching out to Jarod Morris via PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8oxBNZfFHu Thank you Syed, Jeff and John, Babylon Heroes, for taking care of your community!
