Important News! The Winter Farmers Market at Baltimore Woods scheduled for December 12, 2020 has been cancelled. At Baltimore Woods Nature Center, the health and safety of our staff and visitors is of utmost importance. We are regularly monitoring the local COVID-19 situation and feel that it is best for the health and safety of our vendors, staff, and customers to cancel the December market. We will miss seeing you in person this month, but we wish you a healthy and a happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you at The Woods in 2021. We are so excited for the first farmers market of the season this Saturday, November 14th, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.! Shoppers will find a wide variety of meats, fresh vegetables, maple products, prepared foods, freshly roasted coffee, and specialty hand-crafted items. The vendors you can see this weekend are: Little Yard Farm ~ prepared foods, locally sourced Good Karma Garlic ~ microgreens, vegetables, baked goods WW Longhorn Ranch ~ meat, meat pies Em’s Rolls ~ baked goods... The count down to our first Winter Farmer's Market of the season has begun! Plan to join us on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10am-1pm at Baltimore Woods Nature Center. Meat, vegetables (including micro-greens), maple products, prepared foods, baked goods, jams and jellies, and coffee will be offered, along with some of your favorite craft vendors from past seasons. New safety protocols will be in place including mask requirements for vendors and customers, one-way routes, and physical distancing. During this crisis Little Yard Farm has opened a Pay What You Can Farm Stand located on their farm that is open on Saturdays 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. They create delicious foods and incredible herbal products that you can find at their farm stand! Dutch Hill Maple offers a wide variety of maple products including maple syrup, maple seasoning, maple BBQ sauce, maple sugar, and more! You can purchase t...heir products through their website and they will ship right to you or you can arrange for a contact-free pickup at their sugarhouse. They also have a "Retail Partners" page on their website that lists where their products can be found locally. For the health and safety of our vendors, customers, and staff we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the Winter Farmers Market for next Saturday, April 11th. We thank you all for a wonderful 2019-2020 Winter Farmers Market season and we can't wait to see you next season. The first Winter Farmers Market of the 2020-2021 season will be held on Saturday, November 14th from 10-1, we hope to see you there! We will be providing information on how to stay connected to your favorite vendors over the coming weeks and hope to see you at Baltimore Woods for a hike or another event.

At this time, we are still planning to host the March Winters Farmers tomorrow, March 14, from 10am-1pm. Please note that we have implemented a self-screening protocol at all entries to the Interpretive Center and will also ask that you wash your hands upon entry. We have asked all of our vendors to comply with recommended safety protocols from the Farmer's Market Federation of New York and will be keeping the number of people in the market at one time to half the space capacity, as recommended. Please be patient with us as we work to make this a safe space for our staff and visitors and not attending if you are feeling ill or meet any risk criteria. Because Baltimore Woods Nature Center offers programming to the public, including young children, families, adults, and seniors, protecting the health of our community is a priority.

The warmer days and upcoming farmers market have us in the spring mindset! Our vendors are getting ready for an exciting market this Saturday, March 14th 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We can't wait to see all of the delicious and seasonal foods they bring! This is our second to last farmers market of the season so make sure you stop in to visit our wonderful vendors!

Stick around after the Winter Farmers Market this Saturday, March 14th, for the public art reception of the exhibit, "The Earth Laughs in Flowers." This art reception will celebrate the work of Judith Hand and Julie Gratein. The art reception will begin at 2:30 p.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. Spend the afternoon meeting the artists and viewing their magnificent pieces of work!
