Laurelin Farm presents How Yoga Can Better Your Horsemanship; In this brief video Caroline North talks about how the system of exercise known as yoga has practical applications to improve a riders abilities to influence the horse through subtle muscle and breath control. Through the physical exercises or 'asana' off the horse, the rider is primed to better control his or her muscles on the horse in a natural way that is easier for the horse to understand. The creates more harmony and joy in the the partnership between horse and rider, no matter what riding discipline they choose. Check out the free led yoga classes for Horse Folk at 11:00 am on Fridays on the Laurelin Farm facebook page or visit www.laurelinfarm.com

Thank you to Steven Stevens from Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester for showcasing this demo. The demo is about using patterns to train your horse to become soft and supple, continue to move forward and to get their mind going. Steven chooses to use the Bowtie Pattern in this specific demo with Ginger the horse who is available for adoption at Lollypop Farms.
