2020-21 Waterfowl & Migratory Game Bird Seasons Waterfowl Hunting Seasons News for 2020-2021: Due to a slow, but steady decline in mallards across the northeastern United States, the mallard daily bag limit remains 2 birds (1 hen) per day. For eligible properties, the deadline for applying or renewing DMAP Permits is August 1. As with anything, the earlier new applications are submitted, the better chance they have of being approved.
