Today, members of Congress introduced the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act. WRJ Executive Director, Rabbi Marla Feldman, writes, In Judaism, the principle of pikuach nefesh, preserving life, overrides virtually any other religious rule. This value undergirds much of our reproductive rights advocacy. This life-saving legislation is a much-needed step to mitigate the unacceptable maternal mortality crisis plaguing Black women and families.
