Today's Rescue in Albany South End There is always stray cats roaming around for food today was no different in that respect however what mattered is the cat we caught is probably the father of a six week old kitten we are also fostering along with the mom that we caught in the same empty lot. The kitten and the daddy look identical and so for now we have the family together. In the morning the male and female will be fixed. Lots of stray cats looking for food today!

Last Night Rescue I received a very important telephone call from an on duty worker who spotted a mother cat and her 5 baby kittens sleeping on his watch located in the Port of Rensselaer anyone who knows this area can only imagine how dangerous it is for kittens to be running around with big trucks rolling up and down an industrial zone! I was given permission to set up only one trap in a restricted area so I had to give it my best shot! In one hour I captured the feral moth...er cat and one baby kitten {seen in the photographs hiding inside a storm drain pipeline minutes before her capture} With only limited time allowed I had to make a critical decision. I decided to release the mother immediately in order to go back to the other four kittens that were out there somewhere to go on nursing. However I did manage to save one baby about 6 weeks old now and ended up nursing him using a baby bottle and goats milk and rocking him to sleep! Peter :) See more

Current Times and Animal Rescue! Fact is things haven't changed very much on the streets for stray cats. One important reason we continue to go out and rescue is to try and limit the Spread of diseases among abandoned cats and so far all we have accomplished is about as much as we can do ourselves! and for that reason we will continue to rescue!

Animal Rescue take back to another time & place! In 2011 we rescued a 6 week old kitten and named him "Bootsie" he remained with me in foster care. After his life saving operation "Bootsie" was adopted by one of the Vet-Tech's who assisted in the surgery. Recently this good hearted woman passed and I was asked if I would like to adopt him, of course I said :) So after 9 years of separation here we are again in the same place different time :) :) ...
