The Fitness industry has been impacted the most on business loss for a Error. So now what? Will we be compensated? What happens to all the gyms that had to close down? What happens to all the business owners and trainers that have lost all? What happens to all of us still tryin to stay afloat. I will tell you what will happen, NOTHING. God Is Great. I feel bad for all the gyms that couldn’t make it due to the BS of the Cuomos Administration. I pray for them. He will have to answer one day for all the businesses and Family’s he destroyed. I WANT TO THANK ALL THE CLIENTS OF X93 FITNESS THAT CONTINUED TO TRAIN ONLINE. ONLY BECAUSE OF YOU X93 MADE IT. Gov. Cuomo’s comments: 1) Dangerous activity during pandemic 2) Gyms have been nationally identified source of infections. We know from other states they’ve been highly problematic.... What the facts/reports show: 1) In California 150 Fitness operators representing 785 locations with more than 5.5 million check-ins show .002% tested positive and of those positive tests; zero were cases were contracted at the gym. 2) Other large fitness operators throughout the country have reported similar numbers: 1 in 135,000 check-ins or 0.000741% positive cases since re-opening gyms. 3) 44 states in the country have opened up gyms either fully or partially. But NY which has one of the lowest infection rates and has flattened the curve has yet to open gyms in any capacity. Either Gov. Cuomo is misinformed or he is misrepresenting the facts in order to keep us shut and drive us all into bankruptcy. - - - My plea to the people of New York: -Forget if you think we should open... -Forget the fact that the numbers being put forth for keeping us shut don’t make any sense... -Forget we gave the Governor a plan that is consistent with CDC regulations and Department of Health and that it is currently used in part by the NYC schools... How are gym owners expected to survive this? How are your coaches and trainers going to survive this? Governor Cuomo has given every other industry guidance, but day after day, week after week and month after month we have no financial help and no guidance from him. Ask yourself, as Governor Cuomo requests $30 billion from the federal government because New York is facing financial ruin yet he turns his back on the entire fitness industry? He refuses to give the same support he is asking Congress for to the businesses that are going to close and the homes we are going to lose and the families that will be impacted. Why won’t the Governor offer us some guidance? Why does he refuse any words of hope or encouragement? My only conclusion is that the Governor really doesn’t care about NY as he says does. I guess WE don’t matter? So as we close our businesses and as we foreclose on our homes and can’t provide for our families; this falls on your shoulders Governor. As you have left us out in the cold to fend for ourselves in a MANDATED shut down. The NYFC needs your help, our coaches and trainers need your help, our families need your help. Please let the Governor know this is not acceptable from the office in which he holds and the people in which he serves. Thank you
