#99 - New Beginnings. As we close the chapter on 2020, we look forward to the New Year and new possibilities it holds. While we were disappointed that we could not run our overnight camp programs in 2020, the Camp Cory Staff ran a great Day Camp and Family Retreat that gave many people a great experience. #98 - The Staff ... AGAIN! We can't say it enough times, the staff at Camp Cory are the backbone of the camp experience. For nearly 100 summers, young people have come to Cory and made lifelong memories thanks to the counselors. The staff are excited to come and make a difference, and it shows in their great work and the experiences that the campers receive. It's during these little in-between times at camp, when your coming back from free hour or waiting for the bugle, that campers and staff get time to sit around the picnic table and connect with one another. #39 - Gaga. One of the staples of the camp experience is an epic game of Gaga Ball! This game is played by both our overnight and day campers and gives kids of all ages an opportunity to show off their skills! #37 - Devotional. Truly one of Camp Cory's greatest traditions. After taps is played, campers and staff come together to talk and connect. The topics can range from talking about your day to topics outside of camp, the only thing that matters is that the cabin makes those connections that are so important in camp. #36 - Cabin Level. At the end of each camp day, counselors bring their cabins together for cabin level. This time is when the cabin group really gets to know each other and the camp experience really makes its impact. It is activities like this that make some of the best, most long lasting memories! #35 - Tie Dye Friday. One of our favorite crafts for campers and staff is tie dye! You can make your own unique design and make your favorite camp shirt stand out. Our expert craft counselors help our campers make the best designs. The best part is that no two Camp Cory tie dye shirts are alike! #34 - Kayaking. There's nothing better than getting together with your friends at Camp Cory and taking out some kayaks on the lake! Whether your taking it across the lake or doing a field trip to Indian Pines park, these kayaks are a great way to enjoy the lake. Our waterfront is definitely the place to be in the summer! #33 - Corcls. Have you ever seen these things? Corcls are just one of the great boating options we have at our waterfront. Ideal for our younger campers, you can Corcl on your own or tie on to others! Great option for those warm summer days! #32 - Safety. Whether on water or land, the safety of the campers is the primary concern of the Camp Cory Staff. Our Staff and CIT training, camper rules, and facility maintenance are all designed to make sure camper safety is at the forefront. From the time your camper is dropped off to when you pick them up, we are making sure that they are having a safe and fun experience! #31 - Rainy Days. Even when it's raining, campers enjoy their time at camp participating in exciting activities like puddle jumping, mud pit play, and lots more! #30 - TACO NIGHT! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Its our favorite meal! Every Friday night Camp Cory is Rocked by the sounds of cheers, dancing, conga lines, sombreros, music, and TACOS! You don't sit down for long on taco nights at Camp Cory, as the excitement of the meal takes over and you just have to stand and cheer! #29 - Shaving Cream Parties - One of our favorite cabin levels! Only at a place like Camp Cory can something as simple as a shaving cream party be so much fun! Campers of all ages enjoy this activity as something that highlights all of the fun and craziness of camp! #28 - Preschool Camp. Starting last year Camp Cory was able to preschool campers to our Day Camp Program. Truly our youngest campers, these kiddos got the opportunity for full or half day of camp, enjoying everything camp has to offer! #27 - Swimming. There's nothing like a cool dip in Keuka Lake on a hot summer day! Camp Cory's team of trained waterfront professionals makes sure that campers have the skills to confidently enjoy our waterfront. Our lifeguards are always there to make sure the campers are safe and having a great time!
