"You may have seen that The Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library has just launched its annual appeal. The YPL and its staff have been nothing short of heroic over the last several months, and today is just one example! With early voter turnout surpassing all estimates, the ONLY two locations in Yonkers are Yonkers Public Library branches. This year, your contributions will help the YPL deliver and expand the free online programming they have been offering since the start of the pandemic shutdown. If you are voting at Will or Riverfront and see YPL staff helping people, let 'em know you care! And do please donate." - Nancy Maron, President of the Foundation for Yonkers Public Library https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx

EARLY VOTING UPDATE 10/27/2020 Both early voting locations at Yonkers Public Library are making accommodations for seniors and people with disabilities. At Grinton I. Will, poll workers canvas the area to identify people with difficulties waiting in line. They offer expedited service. This is at the discretion of poll workers and not up to library staff.... At Riverfront they have created a waiting area for seniors/the disabled in the atrium with about 20 chairs. They let 3 people from the general line vote and then offer 3 of the people in the waiting area expedited service. Voters that request it are accommodated, (space permitting). Again this is at the discretion of poll workers. Thank you Yonkers!

We are extremely thankful and proud of the Yonkers Community for sharing your commitment to practice your civic duty to vote with Yonkers Public Library! We are amazed and inspired by all of you coming out to #VOTEEARLY! Thank you VOTERS!!! To make early voting a safe and productive experience for the community and staff, please take a moment to review these additional tips: - Due to record turnout, lines and wait times are very long.... Riverfront Library's lobby is much bigger and fits more voting machines. Therefore the lines at Riverfront move a bit faster. Additional early voting sites can be found here: https://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com//early-vot - Early voting is taking place in the Will parking lot lobby. The parking lot is expected to be full throughout the early voting period. If you are making a quick visit as a library patron to pick up or drop off books we recommend using the Central Park Avenue entrance. - If you have an absentee ballot you can skip the main voting line and drop it off at the ballot dropbox at either location. Tuesday, October 27th is the last day to request an absentee ballot electronically. Learn more here: https://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com//absentee- - Remember, you can vote early at either location through Sunday, November 1st. If you are registered to vote in Westchester County you can vote at any of the county's 17 early voting locations. View all early voting locations here: https://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com//early-vot PARKING: - Grinton I. Will Library has free parking, however, due to early voting, the lots are full. You'll find metered parking on the side streets as well. - Riverfront Library has metered parking and the Buena Vista parking garage: https://www.parkme.com//buena-vista-parking-garage-yonkers (If you are limited in time, you may want to consider voting at Riverfront because the lines move quicker, and there are more parking spaces available). Thank you again Yonkers! Happy Voting! #EarlyVoting #CityofYonkers #VOTEEARLY #Vote #PresidentialElection2020
