As most of you know Dixie was expecting a litter this month. Dixie had a black male at home Friday afternoon without any issues. Shortly later, we had to take Dixie to the vet for an emergency c-section. Dixie ended up with a twisted uterus (uterine torsion) which is rare. Due to the stress of the complications, we lost the other three pups. Dixie is home and recovering but is not fully out of the woods yet. Dixie is asking for healing thoughts and prayers. Casper is home with mom and we are supplement feeding him with a bottle. We would like to express our appreciation to the Corfu Veterinary Clinic. We had an amazing team of doctors working on Dixie and her pups. Thank you Dr. Edwards, Dr. Kelver, and Dr Beatty for all of your hard work and amazing effort! Please stay tuned to watch Casper grow.
