WE'RE BACK! I'm happy to announce that Youthire is being made available to the North Shore community once again. Many thanks to those who donated to our fundraiser to help keep Youthire going and for all the emails, comments and phone calls I received encouraging me to bring the service back. Going forward, we hope that more people will take advantage of our service. Parents - encourage your kids to get involved! There are currently jobs on the site for Leaf Raking ($51), Minor Home Repairs ($25), Junk Removal ($30) and a Paint Job ($132). Youthire is a great way for teens and college students to earn money for themselves in a "neighbor-helping-neighbor" environment. Hello All. It's been awhile since any posts promoting Youthire. We are still up and running and would like to reintroduce our service. If you have any kids aged 16-26 looking to make some money this summer the website currently has a recurring babysitting job that takes place in Sea Cliff, starts this Monday, July 29 and runs until September 9. The job takes place every two days, 4 hours each shift at $12.75 per hour. There is also a job that takes place tomorrow, Saturd...ay, July 26 to assist in setting up for an outdoor children's party. The job provider needs two individuals for a three hour job that pays a lump sum of $50. A new opportunity on the Youthire website is seeking someone to conduct a training session in the Sea Cliff community to create a FaceBook Ad campaign. A job was recently posted on the Youthire website that involves keeping company with a Senior citizen in Glen Head for five consecutive days at three hours per day, paying $160 and beginning Monday, September 30. The job provider would prefer a young woman for this temporary assignment and could be a good way to gain some experience for the individual interested in future employment assisting Seniors.
