We are a team made up of free agents! None of our teams qualified for the finals so we met the night of the tournament and quickly picked up our individual strengths to highlight the better setters, hitters and defensive specialists. We all love volleyball and have played in different leagues in the past, but we were at a disadvantage because all of the other teams all knew each other and had played together before. After losing the first two games, we rallied and went on to win game 3 with an ace from Felicia and then took game 4 and the tournament home by strategizing with serves and attacks! 17 years ago Rob Herzog was late to work for his job on the 96th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He lost a lot that day. New York lost a lot. Our country lost a lot. But what we gained was strength. Compassion. Community. Rob used that strength, compassion, and community to build an organization, ZogSports, where people could come together, feel part of something bigger, and help keep the altruistic feeling alive. 17 years later, over 120,000 people across 8 cities come together to make a difference. Every ZogSports participant has played a role in helping us donate over $3.5 million to thousands of charities around the world. With strength, compassion, and community we will never forget.
