The Syracuse Police Department is proud to award Lieutenant B. Novitsky, Captain M. Yarema, Lieutenant B. Williams, Sergeant A. Pritchett, Detective S. Clarke and Community Service Officer B. Hannafan with a Unit Citation Commendation for an outstanding job! The above team worked together to help keep the Syracuse Police Department healthy during the COVID-19 Pandemic and continue to do so. As a team, you all worked tirelessly to keep track of all possible exposures, includ...ing contact tracing, staying up to date and publishing guidelines for SPD based upon the latest CDC recommendation, City Hall guidelines and best practices from around the country and world. You all searched constantly and were able to find and provide SPD with sufficient personal protective equipment, medical supplies and cleaning equipment even while worldwide demand was depleting supplies. This work allowed SPD to continue to provide full service to the citizens that we serve while others shuttered their doors. Your conduct has distinguished yourself and the Syracuse Police Department and is our pleasure to award you this Unit Citation.
