Three Rivers Athletic Complex COVID-19 Protocols Update Effective November 7th Due to the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in Onondaga County the TRAC is updating their protocols to ensure the safety of our families and players/participants. Facility access will be restricted to players/participants, coaches, managers, board members and employees until further notice. No spectators permitted.... Players/participants should come dressed and leave dressed with the exception of their skates which they can put on inside a locker room or in a designated space the lobby. Goalies are permitted to dress inside the facility in a locker room. Social distancing of 6 feet apart must be maintained inside the facility. Masks should be worn upon entry and while in locker rooms (unless wearing a hockey helmet). Please do not bring any large bags into the facility. Do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to scheduled activity. Must depart no more than 10 minutes after your scheduled activity. Bathrooms are restricted for public use at this time (players/coaches/participants only). Participants should be entering the facility through the main door and exit out the side door. Parents can pick up at the side door.

LYHA Families, Many of you have supported Griffin's Guardians over the years. And some of you may have heard that their annual hockey tournament has been cancel...ed for this season due to Covid. For those of you not familiar with the GG Tournament, it was started in honor of Griffin Engle, who was an avid hockey fan and player at Midstate. Griffin was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiform at the age of 6 and after a courageous fight, he passed away on September 12, 2014. Griffin's Guardians is a recognized non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides support and financial assistance to children battling cancer in Central New York. The Tournament has raised almost $30,000 over the last 5 years and has donated thousands of books and band-aids to The Golisano Children's Hospital. The Three Rivers Athletic Complex is searching for a committed and proactive Restaurant and Bar Manager who would enjoy work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The Manager will promote and grow the business, hire, train and supervise staff and ensure patrons are receiving excellent drinks, food and service. They will manage the menu, budget, ordering of food and supplies while ensuring the quality of food and safety controls. Restaurant or management experience is a must. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. 30-40 hours per week.

Last minute ice slot cancellations at the TRAC give us a chance to throw together a clinic! Drop your kids off so they can participate and strengthen this important part of hockey!

We are looking for part time employees to assist in operating the facility on nights and weekends, including performing ice cuts with the Zamboni. 10-15 hours per month.

Things are happening at the TRAC! Turf is being installed and welcome back to the Syracuse Figure Skating Club, we’ve missed you!

LYHA Families, While we are nearly ready to welcome skaters tomorrow, we had our ice specialists in to review our progress and due to the humidity outside, they... are recommending we wait one more day to let the ice harden to ensure there is no issue down the road. The Board has decided to take their advice and cancel evaluations for tomorrow (Monday 9/14). We will plan to continue with evaluations on Tuesday for 14U and Wednesday for Mite (8U), 10U, and 12U. We will be emailing a coupon code for $30 to all those that registered for Monday which will be applied against your season’s registration fees, except if you registered for Monday only in which case we will apply your payment to Wednesday’s evaluation unless you notify us otherwise. We wanted to thank all of our around-the-clock volunteers that came this weekend to bring up the ice. Without you, we wouldn’t be this far along. Carpet and tile has been torn up at the TRAC! We are looking for volunteers to help lay flooring in the entryway at 9am tomorrow (Saturday). Bring a pair of gloves, mallet and knee pads. The carpet will be laid next week in the lobby!

While we have been very busy at the TRAC getting the ice rink up and running, volunteers have also been working behind the scenes getting ready to have 17,000 square feet of synthetic turf installed! Thank you to C&S Companies for the beautiful rendering to show off what is to come at the TRAC! For turf rental inquiries, contact [email protected]. To our volunteers, there will be a work crew prepping concrete and working on the boards tomorrow evening (Monday) at 6pm if you can make it. Bring a pair of work gloves, a drill and pliers. Many hands make light work!

**Rink Update** We'd like to provide a few quick updates. First, as far as hockey in New York State, please take a moment and watch the NYSAHA message from yest...erday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd14uSztcnk. In the end, we are still following all youth sport rules from New York State and practices/games are still not allowed. Second, we're in the middle of bringing back up the ice right now. Originally, we planned on the first few days in August. We noticed some leakage as we brought the ice back up so we've decided to invest in a proactive sonar review of the floor. In the next 48 hours, a sonar system will be run over the rink to double check all fittings and find any leaks that might be present. The good news is that our contractor feels that the issue is with a few fittings, and not within the actual pipes (like rink #1 saw). We see this slight delay in double checking everything a strong move for the longevity of the ice system this year. We will provide another update early next week over email and our social channels.

TRAC is offering it's very first Family Skate! We are reminding everyone that social distancing guidelines are in place throughout the hour. We are limiting this event to 25 skaters. $10 per family member which includes skate rental. We will provide one bench per family in the lobby (6ft apart) to tie your skates. Skate rental size requests will be made in email communication once your tickets are purchased and they will be ready by your bench. ... Families must remain on the ice the entire time (when not putting your skates on or off) or exit the building. There will be no gatherings allowed off the ice. Masks are required for adults at all times and children under 14 when not on the ice and with their family. Families must check in at main door and answer COVID screening questions before entering the complex. A family waiver will be emailed separately to complete ahead of time. There is a maximum of 25 skaters on the ice at this time. At Three Rivers Athletic Complex, our primary concern is the health and safety of our customers, staff, and all of their families. As we reopen the ice rink, we are taking all possible measures to protect everyone who enters the facility. Please see below new protocols and best practices to facilitate that social distancing is followed, and the facility remains clean and safe: 1. Three Rivers Athletic Complex adheres to all CDC, New York State, and Onondaga County Health Depa...rtment guidelines and mandates. 2. Dedicated cleaning continuously disinfecting all common areas with CDC recommended cleaning solution and products. 3. Additional hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the facility. 4. Facility square footage is sufficient to allow social distancing. 5. No spectators in the facility to start. Skaters and coaches only. We are requiring at least one volunteer per ice shift to assist in ensuring the safety of the skaters. *First year mites, mini mites and new skaters are permitted one spectator in the building. 6. All employees are required to wear PPE approved face masks and gloves and use the proper EPA registered disinfectant chemicals while cleaning. 7. Food and beverage service is suspended, including vending. Water fountains are closed. 8. Players only enter through the front doors and exit through designated exit. Upon entry into the facility, all skaters, volunteers and coaches must answer screening questions in order to enter. 9. Player benches and locker rooms are not available for use. Public restrooms are closed. Only One restroom is available for use by skaters/volunteers and they must contact staff member in order to open. 10. All adults and children over 2 years old are required to wear a face mask at all times, except while on-ice. Coaches are required to wear face coverings on the ice. Hockey players should wear their helmet into the facility, no face covering required. 11. All skaters are required to follow social distancing practices and maintain a 6 foot distance away from each other. 12. Skaters may not enter the building until 10 minutes prior to their scheduled ice time and must leave directly after their session is over. 13. All skaters should come fully dressed and ready to go on the ice. Use of hard skate guards encouraged. There will be no changing on the benches or in the lobby except for goalies. Rubber matting leading to entryway will be provided. Locker rooms will be closed. Goalies must come partially dressed and put on their leg pads and skates in the lobby. 14. There will be no sharing of water bottles and other equipment. There will also no longer be a lost and found. Please remember to take all of your belongings before you leave the facility. 15. No games, scrimmages, contact of any sort allowed during on ice activities at this time.
