Kicking off the #NewYear with our #MemberMonday Jane Kagan! Jane is our new VOCE Chair and is already working extremely hard to create content for upcoming VOCE events. Wait... what's VOCE? "Veterans of the Camping Experience" serves leaders who have had ultimate operational authority in an ACA camp for 5 years or more. Jane's hard work can be seen at the upcoming Northeast CAMP Conference where there will be great opportunities to network with other camp professionals and share strategies for dealing with common issues in the camp industry, all thanks to her! Stay tuned for more info on a special VOCE event January 28th! #appreciationpost #NortheastCAMPConf #summercamppro #summercamp #welovecamp Lake Bryn Mawr Camp

Happy Winter! It’s #MemberMonday Today we share Camp Winnebago a beautiful all-boys camp in Maine that successfully opened this past summer. Director, Andy Lilienthal and his wife, Laura Blaisdell, worked incredibly hard to adjust their program to provide a safe and fun environment for their campers. Now many months later, Andy continues to provide support to camps through ACA’s resident camp panel series, while Laura was an integral member of the team of experts that bring you the ACA Field Guide for Camps. What a duo! #appreciationpost #summercamppros #welovecamp #summercamp

The American Camp Association of NY & NJ affirms that Black Lives Matter. The Association promises to work to eliminate structural racism in all of the spaces of our organization and across the entire camp industry. We are part of a society where the lives of Black Americans continue to be blighted by structural racism, lack of opportunity, health disparities, economic inequality, and direct violence that is committed by or with the support of agents of the government. Associ...ations, including our own, have for too long been complacent or complicit. The American Camp Association of NY & NJ hereby is committed to racial justice and pledges to act in solidarity with those who are targets of violence and inequity. We are a powerful network of camp change agents with an opportunity before us to create positive systemic change. Affirming that Black Lives Matter engages with our mission of preserving, promoting, and enhancing the quality of the summer camp experience and recommits us to creating an inclusive membership organization that reflects the diverse community we serve. #BLMatCamp www.blacklivesmatteratcamp.com To get involved and learn more, visit our DEI resources page >> https://rb.gy/ozdhib
