We went from Lake Algonquin to Wilcox Lake today with 4 Scandic’s. The trail is as wide as the State allows and if we get another 6 inches of snow we should be able to actually groom it.

We have decided not to conduct our March and April club meetings during the current crisis surrounding the Covid-19 virus. The meetings would put everyone at an unnecessary risk and we feel it is best to cancel. We hope everyone exercises caution and practices social distancing whenever possible to help stop the spread. Please stay safe and healthy. The SledNY Educational Forum and NYSSA Annual Meeting has been postponed until June 5-7, 2020. Register before May 22nd ! $80 ...for Full Forum until April 30th. $120 for Full Forum May 1st- May 21st. http://nysnowmobiler.com/membership/sledny-forum/ See more

RIDE REPORT & Video clip -- Feb 21st excerpts -- credit: Darrin H.. I took a chance with C4B/Gilmantown trail and was rewarded handsomely with a fun ride thru the twisty hairpin turns and blind hills. And the power lines sections are fantastic!... After hanging around up there and talking to a couple of riders for over a half-hour, I dropped down into Wells with an eye on having lunch at the Overrock Cafe. But they had closed due to unforeseen circumstances. With that, I headed up S42 up toward Speculator. And it was one of the nicest rides I’ve had up that gorge. You can see some freshly groomed goodness along Route 30: Ran Old Route 30 straight up the gut into the Speculator Tree Farm, which was a fun rip. Fly Creek Road was pretty good. https://www.facebook.com/ilsnowcom/videos/474150559919974/

Special thanks to Jake Earley for the hard work he’s put in on the trails this season. We are lucky to have him on our team.
