DIY YOUR BAR You can DIY your bar by obtaining a permit from NYS for $38. You supply your own beer, wine and cider as well as bartenders to serve. They do not need to be licensed. I can also provide you with a few local bartenders that have served here in the past. If you have under 100 guests one bartender can sufficed if you have more than that we do require two. . If you choose this option, I have a detailed guide for obtaining the NYS permit online. .... If you want liquor of any kind, you will need to use a caterer with a liquor license to pull a different permit, provide the alcohol and bartenders. . Parking We have ample off-street parking in our lot adjacent to the main barn. Your rental includes parking attendants who direct traffic and use our new golf cart to transport any elderly or mobility-impaired guests. It's important to us that all guests get home safely and do NOT drink and drive. We'd be happy to recommend shuttle bus services and we encourage folks to leave their cars overnight if needed.

The Shoe Game This is always a fun game for your reception, and it’s also a great way for your guests to get to know you better as a couple! To play, just set two chairs together back to back, take off your shoes, keep one of your own and swap the other with your spouse. Then have your MC ask the newlyweds a bunch of who’s most likely to style questions. For example who’s most likely to do the dishes after dinner? Or who’s the better cook? Then you hold up either your own shoe if you think it’s you, or your partner’s shoe if you think it’s them. We love our Veterans! Supporting & honoring the brave men & women who serve our country has always been an important part of our family values. It’s a value I want to pass on to my boys, & encourage everyone to take some time to honor those who have sacrificed so much so that we can live in a safe & free country. . Another season is officially in the books for Arlington Acres! This year was bitter sweet for us. We were fortunately able to host 5 weddings, a handful of private events, along with our drive-in movie and food truck nights. Although we really missed having our barn filled with so much love and happy memories, the silver lining is the extra time we had to slow down and be together as a family. . BURYING THE BOURBON Is a fun Southern wedding tradition that’s supposed to ward off rain on your wedding day. According to the Southern folklore the bride and groom are supposed to bury a full bottle of bourbon upside down exactly one month before the wedding at the site of the ceremony. Then, after you’re wed, the happy couple digs up the bottle to share with the wedding party, family and friends. Not only has this worked for all of our brides that have done it so far, but... it’s also a fun moment for your photographer to catch on camera! .
